I'll be speaking at the Open Source Conference Luxembourg on October 7th in Belval.

At Paperjam, we're facing a defining choice. Build our future AI solutions on open source models instead of handing everything over to the hyperscalers. This isn't a mission-accomplished retrospective. It's a real-time logbook, written as we make the decisions.
Why this, why now
The real trade-offs are rarely as clean as vendor pitch decks make them sound: data sovereignty, cost, dependence versus control, and whether open models are actually mature enough for the concrete needs of a B2B media company. I'll be sharing the decision framework we're building right now, the pitfalls we see coming before we've even hit them (infrastructure, maintenance, in-house skills), and why open source AI isn't an ideological totem. It's a strategic choice to own.
